El mejor DOC is a directory of healthcare professionals operated by btodigital S.A.S. ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal data in compliance with Colombia's Data Protection Law (Law 1581/2012, Decree 1377/2013).
1. Data we process
- From patients: name, phone, email (optional), reason for consultation and browsing data when they request to contact a doctor.
- From doctors: professional identification data (name, specialty, city, photos, bio, contact info) already available in professional directories or provided by the doctor.
- From verified accounts: email, ID verification selfie, and dashboard activity logs.
2. ID verification photo (sensitive data)
- Stored in a private Google Cloud Storage bucket. Not publicly accessible.
- Only El mejor DOC's verification team can access it, via signed URLs that expire in 30 minutes.
- If the claim is approved, we keep the photo for 30 days as proof of verification and then delete it automatically.
- If the claim is rejected, the photo is deleted immediately.
- We never share this image with third parties unless required by competent authority.
3. Purposes
- Connect patients with healthcare professionals.
- Allow doctors to manage their public profile.
- Verify the identity of doctors who claim a profile.
- Send operational notifications (claim approval, leads received).
- Generate aggregated statistics and usage metrics.
4. Your rights
You can access, update, correct, delete your data or revoke consent by writing to citas@elmejordoc.com. We respond within 15 business days.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary session cookies, plus analytics (Google Analytics) and ad-measurement cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads). You can disable them in your browser.
6. International transfer
Some of our providers (Google Cloud, Resend, Cloudflare) are located outside Colombia. They comply with international data protection standards (GDPR, ISO 27001).
